38 Week Appointment/Ultrasound

Today I had my appointment and ultrasound. I haven't progressed any since last week :( That was a disappointment!!!! I want him out! But his heartbeat sounded good and he's measuring normal...so I'm happy! Shouldn't be complaining! ;)

Seeing him on the ultrasound was crazy. He looked HUGE! I had my last one at 29 or 30 weeks and it's crazy to see how much bigger he's gotten! My placenta is definitely out of the way! That's such a huge relief. She didn't say how far away it is but said it's definitely not a problem and she couldn't get the two in the same picture so to not worry! He's head down and she said his head is right there (gross, I know, but I'd rather him be really ready than not). He measured normal and they estimated he weighs 6 lbs 14 oz. It can be off by 3/4 pounds. So I guess Adam's dream of him weighing 10 pounds won't be happening. :) Thank God!

We are so excited for him to get here...everyone keeps saying enjoy the time we have alone without the baby...but we're both so antsy and just want him here! Fingers crossed he'll be here soon...I'm REALLY hoping he won't be late. I'm sure everyone hopes that and I know he'll come when he's ready, but man, I'm sooooo done being pregnant!

37 Weeks

Hi Everyone!

I'm 37 weeks tomorrow. He'll be considered full term :) I had a doctor's appointment today and I'm 2 cm dilated and 50% effaced. I'm hoping he'll come before his due date but after September 1st...because that's when my maternity leave starts!! I'm so excited!!!

36 Weeks

Today we had a doctor's appointment and did the preadmission for the hospital I'll be delivering at. I'm not dilated at all but she said baby is in launch position and my cervix is thinning out. We have an appointment every week from here on out. I'm soooooooo nervous!

I've been waiting for this... but now that it's almost here, I'm freaking out!!! Adam was laughing at me while we were waiting for our doctor to come in cause I kept pacing back and forth. I couldn't help it. I just wanted to go home. HAHAHA... I think it's a good thing I don't know exactly when this little guy will be coming. That way he will just catch me off guard... I'm such a pansy.

Sidenote...we just watched GI Joe over the weekend and it was great! It had such bad reviews and it was 2 hours long so I was dreading it...but it was fantastic! You should definitely go watch it...oh and The Ugly Truth too! Both GREAT movies...

Well, I will update again next week when we have our next appointment!

I had the best baby shower ever...My mom, Esther, Peggy and best friend Sue threw me the best shower! My little brother Petey was a whole lot of help too ;) I know he really wanted to spend his Saturday bbqing food for my shower. So thank you Peter. Sue flew up from San Diego and did all the favors, games, got all the decorations and Esther and Peggy set everything up! Thank you!!!! :)

Sue flew up Thursday and it was nonstop til she left Sunday in the early am! Such a trooper... We got to celebrate her birthday Friday..which was a blast! and Saturday was the baby shower.

I'm so grateful to have such great people in my life. I've met a lot of great friends the last couple years and have some awesome friends that I've known for about 15 years and am so glad they took time out of their busy schedules to hang out and celebrate with me...

I had a great time (sorry it was soooo hot at my mom's) and got the best gifts. Adam and I are so blessed! Thank you so much everyone.

Well, we are definitely getting closer to meeting our little guy. We're very excited. This weekend we'll be working on his room. Hopefully we can finish it in the next week or two.

Hi Everyone! So I just had my baby shower yesterday and it was a blast (I'm going to post another blog about the baby shower)! My best friend Sue flew up from San Diego so I got to spend Thursday - Saturday with her! Adam was nice enough to let me take off Thursday and Friday! :)

So Sue loves photography and takes great pictures too...she took tons of pictures of me and Adam and even though I didn't want any pictures during the time I'm pregnant...it was actually a lot of fun and they turned out great! We just took the pictures yesterday, but Sue made me a CD of the pics that we took outside and here are a few! Thanks so much Sue!!!!!!!
