Dec/Jan Pictures

Here are some recent pictures of Gavin. He's doing great! he started daycare at the beginning of this month and is adjusting well...much better than me! We will be heading down to CA to visit Grandpa Dave at the beginning of next month!! It will be Gavin's first time on an airplane!

At Gavin's 4 month appointment last week, he weighed 15 pounds 14 ounces and is 27 inches long. He's huge!! He also started sleeping in his crib a week and a half ago...He was sleeping in a bassinet in our room but now he's a big boy! Hahaha... Tonight he was getting fussy so we just laid him in his crib and turned on his waterfall and he fell asleep without crying at all! Ahhhh, he's a champ! He makes this so easy. He's really such a great baby. We are sooooo blessed!

REVISION...hahah...So 2 nights ago, when he fell asleep by himself with the waterfall...he woke up 3 hours later screaming!!!!!!! He didn't sleep well that night or last night. He wakes up at least twice. He's been fussy during the day and sucking the life out of his hands...I'm not sure if he's teething, but this is out of control. Hahaha... I'm hoping this is a phase...a VERY short phase!

Gavin is doing great! He's an awesome baby! Being a mother is sooooooo much more rewarding than I had expected. I go back to work in a couple weeks :( But I know he'll be just fine...it's me who's going to have the problem. Hahaha.

He was 25 inches (95th percentile) and 13 pounds 5 inches (75 percentile)...so he's definitely a big boy. He's been cooing for a long time now and has just recently started laughing. It's is sooo cute!

Meeting Great Grandma and Great Grandpa Locke and Aunt Sandy and Uncle Jeff!!!

Last weekend Grandma and Grandpa Locke and Aunt Sandy and Uncle Jeff came up to meet Gavin from Texas!!!!! It was so nice to see them and I'm so happy Gavin was able to meet them while he was so young! He was a bit fussy on Saturday, but the rest of the time, he did okay. :) We all went to downtown Poulsbo and walked around on Sunday. That was Gavin's first time outside and in his stroller...we've been to stores, doc appointments, restaurants...but he hadn't been outside yet. He loved being in his stroller! He just slept a majority of the time!

We're planning on going down to Texas sometime next year so Gavin can meet the rest of the Locke family and see Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt Sandy and Uncle Jeff again!

Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt Sandy and Uncle Jeff...thank you so much for coming to visit us and meet Gavin! We love and miss you...

2 weeks tomorrow!

So tomorrow Gavin is 2 weeks old! Time definitely flies by. He's been a great baby :) He usually wakes up 1-2 times a night and doesn't cry much at all...unless he's hungry or cold when we change his diaper.

Today he had his 2 week check-up. Our newborn already weighs 8 pounds 14 ounces and he is 21 1/4 inches long! I thought I'd have a tiny baby to play with for a while, but he doesn't fit in newborn clothes anymore :( Hahaha...He is in the 75% for height, 50-75% for weight and his head size is in the 25%. He also got circumcised at his appointment today:( Thank God Adam was there. Adam was there with him, but of course I chickened out and just went into the waiting room. He's pretty sleepy right now and has only woken up once since...when we changed his diaper :(

Our pups are adjusting to Gavin nicely!! I was really worried about our pug Chloe, but she's been so great. She always hangs out where we are...Aspen, on the other hand didn't do so well in the beginning, but is getting better. :) He loves to growl when Gavin cries or makes noise..but he hasn't done that in a couple days.

We've had lots of visitors...which has been greatly appreciated! :) This Friday Adam's grandparents and Aunt Sandy and Uncle Jeff are coming up from Texas!!! We're so excited to see them and for them to meet Gavin! October 14th, my dad and Linda will be coming up too! I can't wait :) We've also received lots of cards, flowers and gifts...thank you so much everyone!

Gavin is here!!!!!!!!

Hi Everyone!

Gavin made his debut on his due date, September 16th at 4:40 am! He weighed 7 pounds 13 ounces and was 21.1 inches long. He is healthy and doing very well. :) We were able to go home Thursday afternoon...it's so nice to be home. He's been a really good baby and rarely cries, but when he does...it is LOUD. We're so happy to finally have him here!!!

39 weeks and still pregnant..but I'm going to learn to be patient!

Okay Okay...so I know people are typically pregnant for 40 weeks...but I'm so done! Hahaha! Isn't it time to meet this guy yet? I guess he's still cooking in there, but we're ready for him.. at least we think we are. Hahaha...that should be interesting!

So I had my appointment this morning, and there wasn't much progress. I'm 2.5 cm dilated now and she said I'm more effaced but didn't give a percentage. She said most people go into labor around 3-4 cm..so I'm hoping some magic happens in the next week. If he doesn't come by 41 weeks, she said they'll induce me sometime after the 23rd. So we'll just have to wait and see!

His room is ALMOST done! We're waiting for the fun, cute stuff which should be here by next week! Then I'll take pics of his room and post them...

I have another appointment next Wednesday...hopefully he'll be here before then ;) Wishful thinking... :D
