First Appointment

Today we had our first doctor appointment.  We've been in for two ultrasounds.  One at 6 weeks and the other at 9.   My due date has changed twice, but today my doctor said we are going with September 16th.

We got to hear the baby's heartbeat for the first time.  Adam said it sounds like a washing machine...I'd have to agree.  It was really nice to hear the heartbeat.  We have scheduled our next ultrasound for April 20th.  We will be able to find out the sex!!! Hopefully!

HELLO :)

Hi Everyone!

So I've decided to do a blog to keep our family and friends who aren't near informed :)  A friend of mine from high school gave me the idea...I was hesitant at first, but I think it's a great idea! Thanks so much Kat!

Adam and I met September 1, 2001.  Long story short, we met because our best friends were dating each other...It was fun doing the whole double dating thing...We got to hang out with our best friends and each other!  Thank you Sue and Matthew!

We were engaged December 24, 2002 and got married on July 17, 2004.  Adam gave me the best little puppy in the whole world...which is our little (big) pug, Chloe.  She's a 6 1/2 year old pug with a whole lot of attitude.  My best friend Sue gave me another sweet little puppy, our pomeranian with ADHD who is 4 years old.  August of last year, we finally decided to try and add a human baby to our family.  (Thank you Adam for being so patient...)

Fast forward to January...neither of us thought I was pregnant...but my mom told me she had a dream and thought I was pregnant with a little boy.  We laughed it off...but about a week and a half later, I took a pregnancy test and...tada!  It came out positive.  We are super excited and now that the "morning" sickness has gotten much better I'm getting VERY excited.  God has blessed our family.

In about 4-6 weeks we should be able to find out if we'll be having a boy or a girl...My mom says boy...and she hasn't been wrong yet with her past guesses...so my fingers are crossed. :)
