33 Weeks

OK..OK...I haven't updated for a couple weeks...but I have excuses!!! :) Our computer is crazy. It just randomly shuts down whenever it wants to (we're taking it to Apple today after work to get fixed!) and our printer isn't hooked up so I can't scan Gavin's ultrasound picture...I've always thought pictures were more entertaining than my words...and lastly, I don't really know what to talk about. HAHAHA...I'm running out of cool things to say.

I'll start with the ultrasound appointment. We took my niece, Hannah, and she was so excited to see her new cousin. The tech printed her a pic of her own and she went home and hung it up on her wall by her bed :) She's sooooooooo cute...sooo sweet. Gavin's kidneys are a tiny bit larger than normal, but my doc assured us that it will not be a problem, it's just something they'll look at after he's born. My placenta is ALMOST 3 cm away from my cervix. It needs to be 3 cm by the end of the pregnancy. Again, my doctor is certain it will continue to move. So good news all around. HAHAA...she's a positive lady.

I've gained 22 pounds. HAHAHAHAHA..Yeah buddy. Still have 7 more weeks to go. They moved the scale thing on me...you know..the bottom one, where they're in 50 pound increments. Yeah...WOW. That was a bit depressing. But I have to think (maybe hope) that in 7 weeks...the number will start to go down.

This weekend is going to be a busy weekend...but I'm super stoked!!! Tomorrow my best friend Sue flies into town :) I'm supposed to get together with a couple of my girlfriends that I've known forever...around 13 years... We all have babies 9 months apart (mine's not ready to come out yet)...and the pattern is girl, boy, girl, boy (thanks Steph for pointing that out! Hahaha) It's going to be so much fun! It's been a really long time since we all have been able to hang out...well I guess we did last year..but still. Friday is Sue's birthday so we're going to hang out all day and just do..whatever! Saturday is my baby shower and I'm so excited to have my buds together. I've met a lot of great people the last couple years and I also get to hang with my oldies, but goodies too! I will post pictures...once I get my computer back. Hahaha...

Well I think that's it for now. My next appointment is in 3 weeks and she'll start checking me then to see if I'm dilated/effaced. That's so creepy, but this time was going to come right?! Time has really flown by and I'm very excited, but VERY scared at the same time!!!

30 weeks!

Hi Everyone!!!! 10 weeks left...fingers crossed! We're getting closer! Time has actually flown by even though I like to complain that it's taking forever to cook this little baby. ;)

We finished Gavin's closet on Sunday :) It's nice and organized. Who knows how long that will last...haha, but it feels good to have it done. My best friend Sue had a baby boy in April '08 so she was soooo sweet and gave my Colin's adorable clothes, car seat and stroller! That is DEFINITELY going to help out big time! We just ordered his crib today so things are definitely coming together!

I had my doctor appointment this morning and everything looks and sounds good. He's measuring right on track and she said his heartbeat sounds great! I love my doctor...she's hilarious. She knows I'm having a hard time gaining weight so when I asked if I'm going to double in size by the end, she just looked at me and smiled and said "you will be getting bigger..." HAHA. Thanks, that's very good news. When I laid down so we could listen to his heartbeat, she says "Oh, see, when you lay down it's just stomach muscles...you're fine." HAHAHAHA..Really?! Stomach muscles...uhmmm no. I am already having a hard time shaving my legs and tying my shoes! It's cause I'm huge! HAHAHAHA...but she is very sweet...and I'm so blessed to have found such a great doctor. I've actually been going to her for the last 4.5 years. We have our ultrasound next Tuesday to make sure my placenta moved up. Please keep us in your prayers as I'd really love to try and give birth naturally...I will be updating again after the appointment!

Chloe and Aspen

My little brother Petey gave Aspen a haircut...he looks adorable...it's a little choppy...hahaha but not bad for Petey's first time.  He gave my little guy a mohawk!  Too cute...here are a couple pics of my babies...Chloe and Aspen.  

28 Weeks

Today I'm 28 weeks. 7 months..I'm getting closer!!!! Things are going well...definitely getting much bigger and his kicks and punches are MUCH stronger. He loves to hurt my ribs, especially on my right side. Hahaha...The commute to/from work is starting to get on my nerves but I think it's just cause I want to sleep. The walk to the office is even worse. Hahahha...I have to walk up a steep hill and I am completely out of breath by the time I get to the top. It's actually hilarious. If I could see myself, I'm sure I'd die laughing. I've had a few coworkers who saw me walking up tell me how miserable I look. HAHAHA..I thought I just walked slow but I guess I look horrible. There is an elevator I can take, but I'm sure I need the exercise.

We had a doctor appointment last Thursday. Our doctor said Gavin's heartbeat sounded good and he had hiccups. It was hilarious. So cute...I seriously can't wait to meet this little guy. I have an ultrasound July 14th and I can't wait to see how much bigger he's gotten. They will look to see if my placenta has moved up to where it should be. We will be taking our niece, Hannah, along with us. She's 7 and has just been so sweet to me and is excited to meet her new cousin. She is always getting me snacks or water...or anything. She tells me she has to take care of me....so sweet. She got to feel him move last Saturday and was so excited. I can't wait for Gavin to meet her...she's definitely going to teach him a lot.

Onto my little brother Peter. He just graduated from Seattle University. I am SOOOOO proud of him!!!!! Grandma and Okyon Emo and Uncle John came out for his graduation and commissioning ceremony. It was so great to have everyone here. We hung out all weekend and did some sightseeing...Petey is in Air Force ROTC and leaves for Alabama at the beginning of August :( I'm sad to see him go so far away but so excited to see him leaving to do what he wants to do...

Busy, Busy, Busy...

So it's been a while!  I'm sorry!  We've been busy :)  We decided to rip out the carpet in the spare bedroom that we're turning into Gavin's room.  We had to move everything out of there (that includes the computer...) so we set up the computer in our room but didn't hook up the printer...and that's what I use to download the pictures....(my excuse for not updating the blog!!!) Adam just finished the floor today and it looks amazing!  The carpet was stained with Aspen's pee...how lovely right?!  He's (Adam, not Aspen) going to do the trim tomorrow.  We're not sure what's next...we're still trying to figure out if we want to do our bedroom floor or just start buying Gavin's furniture and finish his room.  

I also posted pics of our bathroom.  Adam, that's right, my brilliant handy man, re-did our bathroom as well.  The condo was built in the 80s, so EVERYTHING is outdated.  We've been working on the place since we got married, but it definitely takes a lot of time which we both don't really have since we commute to Seattle for work.  We forgot to take "before" pictures...but I can tell you it wasn't cute.  He did an amazing job and it's beautiful!  Esther has claimed that bathroom as hers and is sad to see "her bedroom" turn into Gavin's.  hahaha... ;)

Last but not least...I'm getting huge.  I really don't know how much more this belly can grow.  It is out of control!!!  It seems like the last 2 weeks, it just got GIGANTIC.  I've gained 10 pounds so far and the doc said I should gain at least 15 more.  Great...  Getting big is a lot harder for me than I thought it would be.  I know it's so worth it in the end, but for now it's kind of hard seeing me just get huge.  Adam has been very sweet though....I'm trying to get past it cause I know I haven't seen anything yet!  haha..on a better note...Gavin is moving around a lot.  He's definitely getting strong and it cracks me up when he's moving all over the place.  Chloe, our pug, loves to lay her head on my belly and when he's moving all over she just pops up and stares at it..then jumps down.  I guess she's not a fan of his boxing skills.  Hahaha.

I also had a doctor appointment last Tuesday.  Everything looks good.  I will go in for another ultrasound in July to see if my placenta is where it should be.  She believes it will be just fine.  Adam and I cannot wait to meet this little guy... 

He's Healthy!

Today we had our appointment at UW Medical Center.  We had a LONG ultrasound.  I thought it was going to be Gavin's heart only, but they checked everything.  My amniotic fluid level is normal, the placenta is 1 cm away from the cervix and she's sure it will keep moving up as I get bigger.  She was not concerned about the spot on Gavin's heart. :)  It's a calcium deposit and she's 99% sure Gavin will come out a healthy baby boy.  Thank you for all your prayers.

I'm 21 weeks 6 days along now and am getting BIG.  It seems like I've gotten noticeably large in the last week.  People at work are saying they can tell I'm pregnant now.  It's out of control...I still have about 4 months to go!  

Adam and I are so happy he's healthy and moving around.  Every ultrasound tech has mentioned how he won't stop moving!  Could be a problem once he's born hahaha...but it's so great to see him move a lot during ultrasounds.

I have another appointment next Tuesday with my OB.  I'll update again then!  Have a great week!

Ultrasound Appointment

Hey Everyone...

Today we had another ultrasound appointment to measure my amniotic fluid level.  She didn't tell us anything about my fluid level, so we will have to wait til I hear from my doctor.  The tech did say that it's definitely a boy, he's growing and is measuring normal...so that was a relief :)  His foot has grown half an inch in 2 weeks!!!  Hahaha...I have another doctor appointment on the 19th and will update again when I hear something new :)
